Episodes of Epilogues...

Each epilogue will take place a while after the events of that book. Each of these epilogues will lead to a larger plot in the end. But I won't reveal what it is...

Mnemophobia?

Mnemophobia {Fear of memories}

The story of Lucas Pierce, a maniac placed in a mental institution after the murder of several people, due in part to his mental instability. While inside the institution, Lucas shows signs of sickness...but is it really a sickness? Or is it something more?

-Sean Dylan

In the end...

I've created all the events, characters, places, and placed them on the "timeline" in my mind. Now, when I have the free time, I will continue to write the stories, but sofar here are the names of the rest of the titles in the series.

Promnesia
Deja Vu
Clockwork
Chronophobia {Fear of time}
Remnants
Nostalgia

In the beginning...

Well, I've seemed to diverge a bit off course with my original plan for the story. So I plan on making a prequel to Deja Vu.

"Promnesia" or the scientific term for deja vu.
pro- before
-mnesia memory

This prequel will show Alex Monroe before he got his abilities and how he got his abilities, as well as learning how to use them.

But of course I'll write this after I finish Clockwork

Just a taste...

Deja Vu is completed, but still raw and unedited, waiting for friends to get back to me with the edited version.

Here is the second installment of the Deja Vu series.

Clockwork

Prologue: Running

Alex Monroe opened his eyes. His pupils became adjusted to the light. He darted his eyes left to right, the hospital. An image flashed back to him. He was stabbed by Mr. Le, his substitute teacher, or so Alex first thought, until he was hunted by him. He was carrying a file in his right hand, then he flashed back again, he saw himself carrying a file in the hospital hallway just as he started falling towards the ground. He flashed back to the real world.

“The file, Where is it?” Alex tried to clasp his right hand together, slowly he closed it. Nothing, the file was gone. He tried to sit up, he felt something in his chest stretching, and tightening. He took his left hand and moved it to the right side of his chest, where the stab wound was. Stitches pierced his skin. He had to do something, his pulse rate started to increase. He ripped off the wires from his body. The pulse rate flat lined. Now he had to do this quickly, he attempted to rush out of bed. It was a matter of time before the nurses attempted to see what the flat line was. He rushed down the hall, turned around and saw the nurses rushing to his room. He picked a door on his right, opened the door, slipped inside the room unnoticed, and quietly shut the door.

Alex was in an office, there was an assortment of books in a bookshelf, a skeleton model in the corner of the room, in the opposite corner was a closed door, the door had light shining in from under, and an oak desk with a lamp on top of it, under the lamps light was a file. The file appeared to have writing on the outside of it, and a dark spot in the middle of it. He walked up behind the desk and carefully read the file, he knew what it was in a second. It was his file; it had the name “Alex Monroe” on the cover. He started to look through the papers; suddenly he heard a flushing noise from behind the door, then the sound of running water. He shuffled the papers in order, closed the file and left the room.

Alex recovered the file, he was pretty sure he had all the papers from the file. He walked down the hall into the next room, opened the door and slipped inside another room. This was a closet, he turned on the light switch, the room was small, just a few chemical bottles and mops. Now, time to just go back and wake up in his hospital room. He focused his mind, closed his eyes… Nothing happened, he tried again, same result. He heard footsteps running past the door. He quietly opened the door, from what he could see the hallway was empty.

Alex walked down the hallway back into his room, and grabbed his wallet and phone which lay on the table next to the bed. He walked to the opposite wall from the door, slid open the window contained in the wall and kicked out the screen. He lift his leg over the edge and stepped onto the dirt below, luckily he was only on the first floor. He heard footsteps echoing toward his room, he stepped out the window and ran, he kept running from the hospital. He clasped the file in his left hand, but at the same time he took his left hand and placed it over his stitches on the right side of his chest. They were ripping. He contained a scream within his chest, he taste a small amount of blood in his mouth, he spit, then continued limping away from the hospital. Limping away from the truth, the past, the pain.

The moon showed brightly upon the streets, he walked along the streets, even at this hour some people were still out. Almost losing his life made him appreciate the city lights, and the people on the streets, who happened to be staring at his dark stained shirt and folder he was holding. He continued to walk and looked up into the sky the mountain resort’s lights seemed like alien lights. He could relate to being an alien after what had happened. Something hit him in the stomach; he arched forward and spit up blood. He looked upwards. A lovely brunette stood, speechless at what she just got spit up on her clothes. What had he done? He accidentally spit up on this lady’s clothes, but her reaction wasn’t as he had expected.

“Oh dear god, are you okay? I’m a nurse, I can help you.” Her voice was like an angel’s.
“I’m sorry, its just.”

She looked at his chest, and at the dark stain; and said “we need to get you to a hospital.”

“No, I don’t need…” Alex slowly collapsed to the floor, the lady caught him, and then he blacked out.

It begins...

Here is a preview of Deja Vu for those who haven't read the story, grammar is still pretty messy, as well as other things.

Also, I wrote this back in my sophmore year, '07-'08, and I set the date of events at end of '08-'09 not knowing anything else, so any familiarity within the dates is purely coincidental.

“Welcome to my first post on my new webpage, I have deleted my other, for the pain overwhelms inside me and burns like a hundred candles on one’s skin. What, exactly am I speaking of? The death of my mother Janice Monroe, she passed away December twenty-fifth. Her cancer finally struck, doctors have said that she died peacefully. I only hope so. I was proceeding to down the hallway of Westfield Hospital, carrying a bouquet of colorful assorted flowers in my right hand, when a doctor came out from her room, and delivered the news to me still in the hallway, I collapsed to the floor. I can’t say anything else, I believe I am still grieving, until my next post.”

“I’ll miss you mother

Rest in Peace. Janice Monroe.

Signed your son,
Alex Monroe”

“Something is wrong right now, I don’t know why, but I keep experiencing a ‘Déjà vu’ you, the reader probably do not have any idea what I am talking about. What I feel is, as if I have been to this certain portion in my life, and my mind just stops and focuses on what I am staring at, at the moment. I have no idea what is going on, but I hope it stops. Starting from my next post I will start posting more and more information about me.”

“Hmph, you are probably wondering, who I am, and why my life is so important. Well to be honest, I’m not so special, just your average C student, tall, about six foot one, shaved hair, fair skinned, just an average Caucasian teen. Except the fact that I can bend time backwards, what am I talking about? Let’s see let’s say you said something bad to a girl, and you got smacked for it, now with me, I can turn back the clock and redo it, changing the outcome. Sounds fun right? It is, in fact its way more fun.”

“Hope to come back with more stories of fun times”

“Yours until the next post,

Alex Monroe”
[End Excerpt]

And although I have this little blog post in the beginning of the story, rest assured that the entire story will not be like this.

Deja Vu

Deja Vu is a series that I am writing.

The series is about a teenager named Alex Monroe who discovers he has the ability to turn back time, and redo things, to change the outcome of events, to a maximum of a few hours. But in doing so, he severly alters the timeline of events that should have happened. Because of this, he causes the events that are about to transpire...
