Child Support.

The intro of Promnesia. A little insight as to what happened before anything...

Prologue: Abscond

An empty park in the middle of the afternoon contained nothing but echoes of laughing children, crying children, and children who can’t find their parents, in the middle of the park, next to the fountain a child stood behind his mother, holding her hand. The two year old looked up to her, “Mommy? Why did daddy leave? Where is daddy going?”

His mother squat down to his level turned around and watched the man she once knew walk away from her life, then she pat her son on the head, “daddy just has to leave,” she gave him a sense of comfort, even though inside her emotions were raging wildly with anger, she kept a sense of calm. The child stared straight into his mother’s eyes, mommy, why is daddy leaving? I didn’t mean to break his clock! Where is he going?”

“My little Alex, always so inquisitive about everything, he just has to, he decided that it is supposedly ‘best’ for all of us.” A girl stood up from a bench and walked over and grabbed the woman’s hand, she complained, “Mommy, when are we going home? I’m BORED.” The mother stood up, holding both her children’s hands, turned around and walked away. Suddenly the clasp of her hand to young Alex’s broke away. He ran the opposite direction from his mom, attempting to follow his dad as he screamed, “DADDY, DADDY! I’m sorry!” His mother grabbed him again and pulled him at her, tears streamed down his face as he thought that it was his fault. “Stop, Alex! He’s not coming back; he’s never coming back…”
